Privacy policy Legal # Privacy Policy How we handle the information you give us when you ask for a quote. ## Who we are Newton's Tree Services is a tree surgery business run by Jack Newton, operating from Five Pebble Hill Cottages, Westerham Road, Oxted, Surrey, RH8 0EA. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy by phone on 07375 701290 or by email at jack@newtonstreeservices.co.uk. ## What information we collect When you submit the quote form on this website we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of work you need and any details you choose to write in the message field. When you call or email us we collect whatever contact details and job information you give us during that conversation. We do not ask for payment card details through this website. ## Why we use it To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare and send a written quotation, and carry out and invoice any work you go on to book. To keep a record of work carried out at a property, which may be needed for insurance, warranty or Tree Preservation Order purposes. The lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business, and, once you book work, the performance of a contract with you. ## Who we share it with We do not sell your information to anyone. We share it only where it is necessary to do the job: with the local council or estate where we make a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area application on your behalf, with our insurers in the event of a claim, and with our accountant for invoicing and tax records. Enquiry details submitted through this website may pass through the customer management software we use to handle enquiries, which stores that information on our behalf. ## How long we keep it Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Records of completed work and the associated invoices are kept for six years, as required for tax and insurance purposes. ## Your rights You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information where we no longer need it, and to object to how we are using it. To make any of these requests, email jack@newtonstreeservices.co.uk or call 07375 701290. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. ## Cookies and this website This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
